Speaking & Lectures
I give evidence-based talks that translate medical science into clear, practical understanding — for educated audiences who are tired of wellness trends and want to know what actually works.
My goal is not to tell audiences what to do. It is to give them the intellectual tools to evaluate health information themselves — and to make confident decisions for the long term.
Medical Expertise & Approach
I am a medical doctor with over 30 years of clinical experience.
Throughout my career, I’ve seen how often people struggle not with a lack of motivation — but with a lack of clear, trustworthy explanation.
My work focuses on translating complex medical and nutrition science into evidence-based insights people can actually understand and apply in daily life.
I don’t diagnose, treat, or replace medical care. I educate — helping audiences make sense of the research so they can engage more confidently with their own health and with healthcare professionals.
Selected Lecture Topics
Each lecture is tailored to the audience and context — in length, depth, and focus.
Below are the four themes I currently offer as standalone talks or combined programmes.
THE FILTER
Why smart people still get misled by health advice
The wellness industry is not failing by accident. It profits from confusion, and it is remarkably good at it. This talk explains the cognitive and commercial mechanisms that make even well-informed people vulnerable to health misinformation — and introduces The Filter as a teachable, practical skill. Audiences leave with concrete tools to recognise red flags in health claims, distinguish evidence from marketing, and read health headlines the way a clinician does. No medical background required.
Suitable for: general audiences, corporate wellbeing programmes, patient organisations, media and communications professionals.
MEDICAL LITERACY FOR LIFE
Evaluating health claims like a clinician
Most people do not lack motivation when it comes to their health. What they lack is method. This talk introduces the three criteria that determine whether a health claim is worth acting on — scientific evidence, biological mechanism, and real-life applicability — and teaches practical frameworks for applying them independently. Topics covered include how to interpret nutrition research, how to separate evidence from noise in modern wellness culture, and how to engage more confidently with healthcare professionals. Audiences leave not with a list of rules to follow, but with a way of thinking they can use for life.
Suitable for: health-conscious professional audiences, women's leadership events, preventive health programmes, continuing education for non-clinical professionals.
THE INFORMATION PARADOX
The information paradox in preventive health
We have more health data available than ever before, yet clarity has become increasingly rare. This talk explores why the gap between what science knows and what people actually do keeps widening — and what it would take to close it. Drawing on examples from nutrition, metabolic health, sleep physiology, and stress biology, it examines the lifestyle factors that genuinely matter for long-term health, and why they remain so poorly communicated. Audiences leave with a clearer understanding of the foundations of preventive medicine and a more grounded sense of where to focus their attention.
Suitable for: healthcare organisations, HR and wellbeing leaders, corporate health programmes, preventive medicine conferences.
LONGEVITY SCIENCE
Separating signal from noise
The longevity space is one of the fastest-growing — and most commercially distorted — areas of health science. This talk reviews what the evidence actually shows about healthy aging: the role of nutrition and the microbiome in long-term brain health, why sleep is among the most underestimated longevity levers, how stress physiology intersects with metabolic resilience, and which lifestyle interventions have genuine scientific support. What remains marketing is named clearly. Audiences leave with an evidence-based framework for thinking about aging — and a healthy scepticism toward the claims that surround it.
Suitable for: longevity and preventive medicine events, medical and scientific audiences, executive health programmes, retreat residencies.
