Bios
Short
Dr. Caroline De Graeve is a medical doctor with 30 years of clinical experience and a nutrition science background from Stanford University. She founded Human Recipe to bridge the gap between complex health science and everyday decision-making. Her framework, The Filter, helps people evaluate health information the way a clinician does.
Medium
Dr. Caroline De Graeve spent three decades in clinical medicine before asking a question that changed her direction: why do so many intelligent, motivated people still make health decisions based on misinformation? The answer, she found, wasn't a lack of information — it was a lack of trustworthy filters. She created Human Recipe as a platform for evidence-based health literacy: translating peer-reviewed science into clear, practical insights for people who value rigour over trends. Her methodology, The Filter, draws on her medical training, her nutrition science education at Stanford, and thirty years of observing what actually changes people's health outcomes.
Long
Dr. Caroline De Graeve is a medical doctor with over thirty years of clinical experience and advanced training in nutrition science at Stanford University. She trained and practised as an ophthalmic surgeon in Paris, Leuven, and Antwerp, and co-founded Okio, an ophthalmology practice group in Belgium — work that sharpened her understanding of precision, neuroplasticity, and the deep connections between the visual system and whole-body health. Three decades of clinical practice led her to a recurring observation: intelligent, motivated people were making health decisions based on misinformation — not from a lack of interest, but from a lack of trustworthy filters. She founded Human Recipe to close that gap. Her flagship framework, The Filter, teaches people to evaluate health claims with the rigour of a clinician, without requiring a medical degree. She is currently writing a book of the same name. She is available for keynote presentations, panel discussions, workshop facilitation, and commissioned writing on medical literacy, longevity science, metabolic health, and preventive medicine.
